Elastizell OC is designed to create non-discreet, interconnected open cells. The interconnected cells allow water to pass through the material, making it permeable. Elastizell Open Cell Cellular Concrete is designed for permeability varying from 10-2 cm/sec to 10-7 cm/sec.

Elastizell OC foam expansion material is added to a specification specific cementitious mixture to produce Elastizell Open Cell Lightweight Cellular Concrete. Elastizell pre-formed foam is created by first diluting Elastizell OC Concentrate with 40 parts water to 1 part concentrate. This solution passes through a specially designed foam nozzle which combines it with pressurized air causing it to expand producing foam with the appearance of shaving cream. A predetermined quantity of the OC pre-formed foam is added to the concrete slurry while mixing to produce lightweight open cell concrete.

Elastizell OC's lightweight and porous nature is specifically designed for application's requiring drainage and elimination of water build up. Some of the uses include under roadbeds for storm sewer water management, under pavers requiring water run off, and at retaining walls where drainage is required for the water to move away from the wall. The application's are only limited by the designer's imagination.
